Slagerij van Kampen

They wondered why percussion instruments couldn’t have the main role within a band and before they knew, they became an international percussion band named “Slagerij van Kampen”.
Fun fact: The name originates from the also famous comic book Tintin and “The Calculus Affair”.
Nowadays they are also referred to as the “godfather” under the percussion-bands. This pop group whom only uses percussion instruments started back in the days in 1982.
Their involvement with the world, is translated into ethnically tinted, original compositions.
Which lead to many sold out tours, a performance for Nelson Mandela, an Edison and a golden record.
